Healing belongs to YOU!

Don’t settle for the level of healing that you have at this moment! I often hear well I can manage the pain; it only hurts when I do ……

It could be worse! The doctor has said!

Jesus took ALL sickness upon himself. Cancer, MS,ME, Motoneuron’s, Blindness, paralysis, brain damage, mental illness, heart disease, covid, deafness, flu, acne, frozen shoulders, broken bones, death itself! ALL means all! By his wounds you are healed and made whole!

Tell me, if someone put £5 million pounds into your bank account, all legitimate, tax free, how would you live? Would it change your life?

Healing, peace, joy, love are also in that bank account.

We have an overflowing bank account in heaven. Every good and every perfect gift comes from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17

He’s the same yesterday, today and forever!

Our prayers are meant to pull down heaven to earth.

Think about the lord’s prayer,

Our Father in heaven,  may your name be kept holy.

May your Kingdom come soon.

May your will be done on earth,  as it is in heaven.

Give us today the food we need,  and forgive us our sins,  as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

And don’t let us yield to temptation,  but rescue us from the evil one.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matt 6:9-13

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matt 6:30-34

Things are added, needs met, bodies healed. Doing it his way leads to answered prayer! Let’s seek his face first, before seeking his hand! Intimacy is the key to knowing his heart!

He made us, so he knows how to heal us! And he also wants to heal through us!

We have a real enemy called a thief, who only comes to rob, kill, steal and destroy! The devil is a legalist, looking for the open door.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows). John 10:10

Unforgiveness, hatred and bitterness, hopelessness, fear and lies are his trademark, his delight. When we entertain those thoughts and act upon them it gives him access to our minds and bodies.

Many years ago there was a lady whose marriage had ended in divorce and she returned to the UK virtually penniless! She was a very talented artist and the arthritis in her hands was making it difficult to paint. She was a christian and praying with her revealed a level of unforgiveness towards her ex-husband. She made the choice to forgive him and as she did the arthritis came out of her hands, all the pain left and her fingers moved freely.

A friend, bought her mother in law who was in a similar situation to my home for me to pray with her and to talk to her about Jesus. Her hands were deformed with arthritis and she was very bitter towards her ex husband. She didn't want Jesus in her life and declared that she would never forgive him! That lady left my home the same as when she came in. Not too long after she died!

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matthew 6: 14-15

Bible tells us to guard our hearts! Any area of our lives that lacks hope is under the influence of a lie!

"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life." Proverbs 4:23

Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die!

The moment you ask Jesus into your life your spirit becomes perfect. We are that new creation in Christ. The word becomes our mirror! The lens we look through and see ourselves through.

Your spirit will always agree with the word of God. Your mind is the thing that needs to be renewed.

Eph 4 tells us to put off the old man, the worldly man, the worlds way of thinking, old behaviours and thought patterns, put on the new man in Jesus, think like him, act like him and talk like him. imitate Him!

Our healing was paid for over 2000 yrs ago. It was put upon Jesus, he bore it.

 God doesn’t do double jeopardy! If Jesus bore it, you can’t carry it too.

"Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].

‘But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole." Isaiah 53:4-5

" He personally carried our sins in His body on the [a]cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed." 1 Peter 2:24

I hate sickness, but some don’t! There was a lady, a nurse in fact, a christian, who wanted healing of several things but not ‘her’ diabetes, why, because it kept her slim! Go figure!

When I think of how we receive our salvation, we respond to the word and make a declaration in faith. No demon can prevent a person from becoming a Christian when their will is involved. The same is true with healing, So, we get the complete package, everything Jesus paid for in the atonement is ours the moment we become born again!

We don’t let someone who doesn’t receive Jesus as their saviour become a stumbling block to our Christian life; however, I have seen so many walk away from their faith because of a sickness issue or a death, or an unanswered prayer.

God often gets the blame!

I don’t think we do enough when a person is led to Jesus, I believe faith is often so strong at that moment that we should press in and get people filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, healed and delivered, then send them out with a bottle of oil and commission them to go!

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honour at God’s right hand .AND THE DISCIPLES WENT everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. Mark 16: 15-18

You might be thinking, well Chris, do you get sick? When you’re sick what do you do, deny it?

No, I don’t lie and say, no I’m not sick, I deny it’s right to stay in my body. I speak to my body in the name of Jesus. I’ve had it happen a few times immediately, but mostly I have to enforce the healing by speaking God’s word to my body till it manifests!

Yes, I believe in Doctors, medication and operations. Which ever route you take do it in faith. There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus! HS Leads the devil drives!

If you are battling illness right now, I’m not condemning you, or saying you’re weak in your faith. I’m inviting you to step into truth, truth that will set you free.

To help you stop fighting for healing and start standing in the promises of God.

The battle isn’t to get healed, it’s to stay anchored in what’s already yours.

To enforce what Jesus has already paid for.

God is very creative in his ways of healing, I’ll share some of those testimonies shortly, but 1st I want to share with you the power of the prayer of petition.

Which will help you in many ways. This can be used for any situation that you find yourself in. Finances, peace, salvations, direction, healing

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". Phil 4:6-7

The Lord’s prayer is a prayer of petition.

What’s the difference between a declaration and a prayer of petition?

Praying is a petition or request made to God, requesting His intervention. Declaring is an announcement or declaration of something we already possess from God, typically found in the Bible or prophetically received.

Prayer and declaration are both powerful, but they serve different assignments. Prayer talks to God. Declaration talks to the enemy. One invites presence the other dispels presence.

For example, when we fly, the airline requires us to declare the items already in our possession. Likewise, as Christians, we have the authority to declare the things which God has already given or promised us over ourselves and other believers. In declaring, we can remind the Lord of His Word and promises.

"Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope." Psalm 119:49

One of the most significant ways to understand declarations is through searching the Bible for God’s promises. Another way is to declare the things you hear prophetically over a situation, a person, or a group, with the understanding that God’s prophetic Word will never contradict His written Word. Hopefully we are all very familiar with making declarations based on the word!

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

How do we write a prayer of petition?

Make sure you ask according to the will of God. The word petition from 1 John 5:15 is extremely important.

" And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him."

It’s defined as “a formal written request addressed to a sovereign superior for a particular right or grace.” Here’s how to pray the prayer of petition that’s in line with the will of God, a petition that is certain to be granted:

1. Go to the written Word of God.

Find scriptures that apply to your situation and make those the foundation for your petition. Be specific. Take your time. Study and meditate on those promises pertaining to your need.

2. Consult with the Holy Spirit.

Spend time with the Holy Spirit and let Him help you develop your petition in detail. Listen for correction or instruction and follow His leading as you seek His blessings. An important part of doing this is praying in the spirit (Romans 8:26-27).

3. Write your petition.

Writing your petition to the Lord as a formal request, using His Word, is a powerful tool

“And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.” Habakkuk 2:2

4. Pray the prayer of petition.

With God’s promises in front of you, pray the answer through the prayer of petition. Petition Him with these promises from His Word. When you do, you are praying with precision, rather than going around in circles. You won’t have to guess if your prayers are effective—they’re based on the Word of God!

5. Have confidence.

God always backs His Word. You can be confident that God will answer your prayer because it’s based on the promises He has spoken directly to you. Part of being confident is refusing to think or speak anything to the contrary. When you walk away from your prayer, your face should be different than when you first started it because you know that what you have asked will come to pass.

It’s a legal, factual document based on God’s word, written and spoken in faith. We have an advocate, the Holy Spirit who presents our petition to the Father in the courts of heaven!

6. Praise God for the answer.

Psalm 8:2 and Matthew 21:16 say that praise stills the enemy and the avenger. Thanking God is faith in action. It says, “I believe before I see.” That’s the God kind of faith. This clears the channel between you and God, so you can receive from Him!

Remember—it isn’t always instantaneous, so let patience have its perfect work, and keep standing in faith. Petition God based on His Word, expect your answer to come!

You can write a prayer of petition for finances, worry, direction, just find the scriptures that cover your need. I like the prayer of petition; it gives my eyes something to focus on especially when the enemy comes with his lies!

The following is an example of a petition for healing:

Today, ________, at ________(a.m./p.m.), is the day that I receive healing from _______________in my body. No sickness or disease of any kind has a place in my body. So, Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come boldly to the throne of grace and present Your Word.

According to John 16:23, Jesus said You will grant whatever I ask in His Name. In Mark 11:24, You said whatever I ask in prayer, believing I will receive it, will be given to me.

I declare, according to Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 103:2-5; Psalm 91:9-10, 14-16; and 1 Peter 2:24; that Jesus took all my sickness and disease today, tomorrow and forever. I am healed by the blood of the Lamb, and I am protected from all plagues and sickness. I am redeemed from the curse of the law, which includes sickness and disease of any kind (Galatians 3:13).

I bind Satan and all his forces according to Matthew 18:18 and declare they will not hinder me from receiving this promise. I lose my ministering spirits (Hebrews 1:13-14) and release them to help me receive ______________to come into my hands.

I believe in my heart and declare with my mouth that I AM HEALED. I thank You and praise You for healing me of ___________, and I thank You for making me whole.

I believe I receive today. Mark 11:22 I will not waver or doubt at Your promise but will stand firm. I praise You and thank You that I am not waiting for this to manifest—I take it right now and hold it in my spiritual hands.

Maybe you are struggling right now with health issues and you’re like the father of the boy who had demons and the disciples couldn’t cast them out. Jesus appears on the scene, and the father say’s these words, ‘I believe help me with my unbelief” Jesus expresses the heart of the father, and sets the boy free and explains to the disciples why they couldn’t cast them out.

Here are some testimonies to inspire you of different ways God healed.

I have personally received several healings whilst worshipping, a frozen shoulder, hip problems. As we focus on Jesus and lose sight of ourself the Holy Spirit is free to move upon an individual or corporate group.

When I was pastoring a church a lady who had recently given her life to the Lord was in desperate need of a miracle. She had inoperable brain tumours, the prognosis wasn't good.

She became a christian in the October and on Christmas day she was catching up her bible readings. When she read, When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” John 11:4

She felt 'something' hot pour over her head that went through her whole body.

When she went for her hospital appointment in the January, they did four or more scans. The consultant was called to see images of her brain tumour free! He wrote on her notes 'miracle'!

A couple came to one of our Friday night meetings. She had a back problem. After prayer she bent right over and stood straight. Her husband began to laugh loudly. He kept saying you don't understand! We thought it was just a disc or something. He went on to say that his wife couldn't possibly bend over as she had a metal rod in her back!

God heals through a text message. A friend was at the dentist when I felt led to send her a text to heal the abcess on her tooth. As she read it healing happened! I have spoken healing over the phone and God has healed and delivered someone from demons.

One of my favourite testimony stories took place in a meeting in Canada. We were taking a group out there and one of the team was afraid of flying. She sat by me and wouldn't move the entire flight. In the meeting the speaker was sharing about his friends wife who was afraid of flying, they prayed and she was healed. The speaker then asked everyone with a fear of flying to stand. Our team member stood expecting some kind of prayer being spoken over her. Instead the speaker told all those standing to begin flapping their hands.

The rest of the team were smiling and encouraging her to stand. No doubt she was feeling a touch embarressed. She stood and flapped her 'wings'. On the way home she realised all her fear had gone and spent most of the flight out of her seat talking to others.

Prophetic activation is very biblical.

Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. 19 The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.”

2Kings 13:18-20

Emotional healing and physical healing is often received through forgiveness.

Forgiving others, forgiving self and forgiving God.

In inner healing sessions when leading someone to repent of judgements, especially judgements towards themselves, healing comes.

One lady hated herself so much. She was cursing her body, her looks etc. He hair had begun to fall out and her skin was bad. As she repented of calling what God calls very good bad and asked her body to forgive her, two things happened. First her hair grew and it was healthy and thick and secondly her skin healed.

Healing belongs to you, because of what Jesus did on the cross. Receive your healing now in Jesus’ mighty name.

I often pray like this:

Thank you Father for sending Jesus to stand in my place and take upon himself all my sin and sickness.

Holy Spirit if I need to forgive anyone, please reveal that to me know so that I can release forgiveness and clear the way for healing to be released into my body.

Father in the authority of the name above all Names, Jesus, that I stand on.

I command _______________________ to leave my body right now and never return.

Holy Spirit I ask you to quicken my body with the same power that you used to raise Jesus from the dead, driving out all sickness.

Healing belongs to me because of what did did on the cross so I receive my healing right now in Jesus’s name.

I thank you Jesus that my healing is complete in you and I will not partner with doubt or fear.

Symptoms you will not deceive or lie to me.

Body align yourself to Gods word. Be healed and made whole! Amen.

Jesus ruined every funeral he attended including his own. Bill Johnson
